So i decided to find links to the Draco/Hermione stories that had died in my earlier post. While looking for links i began to re-read some D/Hr and i remembered why i loved the pairing so much. It's the quality of the stories!!!! They are so good. And upon even more reading i've realised there's a lot of Harry Potter stories out there that are all kinds of good quality.

So that means there are lots of links to come... not just new links to new Draco/Hermione stories, but also Draco/Luna!!! (now that one has AMAZING potential), Draco/Astoria, Draco/Ginny, Snape/Lily, Draco/Pansy, Lucius/Narcissa and the odd Bellatrix story here and there. What can i say i like a lot of pairings in the Harry Potter world (though D/Hr will always be my favourite).

Eric and Sookie

I just love the dynamic between these two. Top it off with the relationhip progression, the lust, the banter between the two (don't even get me started on Eric's selfless ability to put Sookie first, to care for her, and still remain so cool, calm and collected) and you have yourself a winner of a couple. Plus... even though i've only read the first eight books in the series the Eric/Sookie relationship in the 'Sookie Stackhouse' series is still my favourite.

So while i've loved them on the show i'm a bit disappointed by the fandom for the couple.

I had a few fruitless months of searching for good True Blood (E/S, Pam, Jessica, Hoyt) stories and finally found an lj comm with a good number of well written stories. Unfortuntly i don't have the time to go through everthing i saved to pick the best but i thought i'd share one of the best fan vids i've ever seen.

The Fallout by Sage

I just realised a lot of the Draco/Hermione stories i'd recommended were archived on Colored Gray and have thus been lost in the dark depths of cyber space. Sad. I don't read much D/Hr anymore but i will try and find the links in the next few months.. and post the few stories i've read and enjoyed in the fandom in the last year.

In the mean time i wanted to reiterate and repost the link to the one D/Hr i still re-read religiously. The Fallout by Sage is by far, without a doubt, the best story i have ever read in any fandom.

It is amazing and brilliant and the emotion and progression is unbelievable. The sex, the war, the in-between times are written in such a poignant way... it's just superb.

Sage manages to create a world that is so realistic and the progression between Draco and Hermione's relationship so touching that this will leave your heart beating fast every damn time you read it.

I cannot recommend this story enough. Even if you aren't a fan of D/Hr i would still say read it (!!!) if not for the fact that it does something that most people in fandom writing stories would never manage to do.

Unfortunatly the amount of updates the last few months has really slowed but Sage has always said she will finish this story no matter what so i'm pretty confident it will one day be completed.

Dan and Blair

I'm becoming a little obsessed with Dan and Blair. They're just so... sexy. And the scenes they have together are so snarky and adorable and they just look so damn good together. There is so much potential there!!! I can't believe the writers have paired together nearly everyone on that show but these two... it better happen. Either way here are some of my favourite Dair fics.

The Mean Reds by artemis_sparks (WIP, also work as one shots)

[PG-13 Tragedy works for her]

Oh Miss Sparks, give us part two... pretty please, with sugar on top. I really liked this, it's probarbly one of my very favourite Dair stories out there. The last scene is just so cute. I loved that it was from Dan's point of view and i just want Blair to fall for him so much.... Did i mention how much i liked this story?!

Note- there's now a part two! Hooray. Now i want part three and part four. I still read the two parts regularly. They're so good!

Before the Glaciers Drown Us by irishmizzy (One Shot)

[PG-13 Growing up and making out and being awesome instead: one year at Yale]

What a fantastic year at Yale. I love the university-ness of it all. How Blair fits and how Dan and Blair are actually friends first. And the Eric scene makes me giggle everytime. Love this one shot.

This fic is amazing. It's the kind of way you could really imagine Blair and Dan getting together. And the Nate parts in there are so sweet too. Another fantastic Dair.

A Little Pomp and Circumstance by gatheringlight

[PG-13 She felt the shift. Heard the scratch of a line being drawn them, seperating then from now. As though her past was something she could discard like a too-tight pair of shoes at the end of the evening]

Another beautiful Dan/Blair future AU story. I love the starting and ending line of Dan's novel. Perfect. I would also recommend gatheringlight's What Happened to the Daisies? for another great read.

Park That Car, Drop That Phone, Sleep on the Floor, Dream About Me by Lint

[PG-13 It's because of the holidays she tells herself. Goodwill towards men and all that sanctamonious cheer]

So that season four scene where we found out that Dan and Blair were the only ones left in the city over the break was such a great scene. And since we didn't get to see what they got up to over the break i like to read this and pretend that's what went down. Lint does a lovely job!

Also make sure to read Lint's AU aftermath of the Dan/Blair fight over the W Internship in To Delete Message, Press Seven. And Lint's AU aftermath to the Dan/Blair hand holding scene in her story Only, Here to Fill a Void. In fact you should really just read all his stories over at his LJ as they are all fantastic.

Her Hair Spread Out In Fiery Points by corleones (One Shot)

[Caught between two opposites and her heart thumps in response. She fears she'll never be ready]

Corleones has a lot of great Dair fics so it's worth checking out her journal to see the others, but this particular one is a real favourite. I really love Blair in this story.

Translations in B Minor by Jacobella41 (One Shot)

[Dan had always only meant to deposit a cheque, pick up a pie for thanksgiving, meet a blonde at a photo shoot]

Jacobella41 is another author who has written a few Dair fics and everyone of them, no matter how short, is so good. So worth the read. This one is my favourite but you need to check out all her stories. She writes so well... and i just love all the references that are in her work. Plus Dan and Blair are meant to match each other in intelligence so it works so well.

A Thousand Luscious Splinters , its companion All The Little Cuts and the sequel to both Bury Me in An Avalanche of Tingles by cashewdani (Completed)

[PG-13/R She tries to remind herself that he's just Dan Humphrey, her best friend's ex boyfriend from Brooklyn for God's sake, and that she needs to stop being so spastic.

Pg-13/R He takes her on walks of Brooklyn and tries not to hold her hand.

Pg-13/R "Oh my god, you like him!" Serena gasps, and at that point, Blair has to give the Upper East Side glare she's been working on since kindergarten]

What a superb trio of stories. This is just amazing. I love the first two and how they're told from different perspectives and the sequel is such a nice end. Plus i kind of like that the pull has on Chuck isn't totally forgotten.

Hear My Voice in Your Head and Think of Me Kindly by Bob5

This is delicious. "Blair drags her nails down his chest and rides him into next year"... yes please. Bob5 creates an intricate story in a short amount of time and Blair is all powerful, just the way i like her.

Too Blind To Know You Best by everything_inme (One Shot)

[R Maybe she is in love with him. At the end of the day, it still means nothing]

I love the words in this story. The way Dan laughs "against her mouth in syllables that are too long and too snake-like to be her name". How amazing is that description. This is a very talented writer and an amazing story.

When All I Want is You by holycitygirl

[PG-13 He shrugs because letting her know that she was right is always wrong. If his wrist hurts from typing, from scrawling four pages of ideas and notes pent up and eager to get out- she doesn't need to know]

Again another very talented Dan/Blair writer. Holycitygirl's LJ is worth checking out because it is full of fantastic Dan and Blair stories. She captures the moments between the two so well and i'm constantly impressed by all her stories. Definietly all worth a read.

Dirty Pretty Things by everything_inme (One Shot)

[NC-17 Need is not love and regret is always the watchword]

Best till last? When it comes to this then yes. This is my favourite Dair story... and i think i've read nearly everything that's available. The author describes this as a 'beast' and i would say yes. It's a beast. Of epically amazing proportions. It's just so good. And Blair and Dan are so sweet. I love part two where they're in a relationship. The author makes it so effortless and the change that Blair goes through is kind of what i wish would happen instead of the way tv-Blair is heading... but i digress. This story is a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

I also thought i'd share a few of my favourite Dair vids that are floating around. Unfortunatly since the GG writers don't know when a good thing is right in front of them there aren't heaps of D/B scenes in the show. Don't get me wrong... there are some great ones. But not heaps. So... the people that have made this vids are particularly talented because they're not working with heaps and look how good they make the couple look.

Now for a different take on the Dan/Blair relationship. luvinbigbrother has created a video that has a really intricate and interesting story line. Love it even though i'm not the biggest fan of the song.

Ahh too many vids to choose from. This next one by luckybitch is set to Breathe by Sia. Anything that's ever including this song is always a win. It's awesome. This is more like a love triangle look at B/D but she makes the right choice ;)

Conflict Resolution by Strongly Worded (One Shot)

[PG-13 Mac begins the healing process and, surpisingly enough, Dick has a hand in it]

Wow. I just love Dick and the author just gets this so, so right. The characterisation of Dick is perfect, with just that extra little bit of something that shows what Dick could be liked deep down. I loved it. This story is in no way boring with a capital b-o-h.

This is a Dick and Mac story. Like i said i love Dick and i love this look at him and how he is dealing with his brothers death etc. I love how Mac is there for him and the sweet progression of Mac and Dick's friendship is fantastic and how they bond over a video game. It's just so Mac and Dick.

the_spin is an awesome L/V writer and this story is no exception. The writer just get's Logan. The story is so true to his angsty, dark side, while staying true to the humour of the show (and Logan's thing with Veronica).

Nine Months by Professional Scatterbrain (Abandoned)

If i was to be honest i would tell you i'm good friends with this girl and beta'd this story, but that really doesn't influence how much i love it. It is amazing. Rory is so broken, so much more what a normal person would be like. And the Tristan is sad and strong and there. The description, the language, the story is brilliant.

The More Things Change by Surya (Abandoned)

[M A realistic look at Rory dealing with the choices she made]

This is a very dangerous story line in the Gilmore Girl world but somehow Surya manages to execute this really well. And her Tristan is amazing, so true to form. If the shows writers had actually developed Tristan's character, Surya's depiction is how he would have turned out. This is however, a story that won't ever be updated. Sad.

Girlfriend and its sequel Gone by Hito (Complete)

[NC-17 Rory is becoming dissatisfied with her relationship with Jess, and Tristan is eager to take advantage of the situation.

T Consquences of actions that really should have been thought through]

Tristan's the good guy. The in between's make this story (think the two at Henry's house, the concert etc.) Still one of my favourites.

My very favourite. The writing is gritty and the story line sad, but the ending is quite special. Hyde is true to character and Jackie is true too, but grown up, and it's a nice and mature her.

Very short. Well worth the read. And it's Kelso... and what's not to love about him.

Jekyll and Hyde by Mistiec (Misty Flores) (One Shot)

[PG-13 The students at Point Place High knew senior year meant changes. They just wern't prepared for how many there would be]

Sweet. A very sweet story about the development of a very sweet couple. Misty Flores gives readers a real outide perspective of the H/J relationship.

[T Words can mean anything, depending on their context. A Jackie and Hyde character study set post season eight]

I love the way the author has developed the characters, what she has done to their furture selves and most importantly how she brings them back together. The scenario is very real, the emotions deep, the writing... wonderful.

Quite lovely really. You could never expect P/J to be in a relationship without issues and these issues are so realistic. Another great Juliet story.

Hope is a Four Letter Word and its sequel A Hopeful Life by Juliet (Complete)

[NC-17? An alternative turn of events]

Juliet really is the best P/J writer out there. Her alternative universe stories are interesting and all worth a read, but this one is my favourite. The way P/J manage to slip into a relationship albeit with the expected problems is lovely. The best thing about Juliet is those little things she manages to include in her story (like the first 'mummy' scene in 'A Hopeful Life').

I kind of forgot about this one as i read it ages ago, but i stumbled across it and decided to re-read it. Very worth it. Juliet is amazing, i'll probarbly rec almost all her stories, they're all so good, but this one was really great. I loved Joey's attitude for once.

This was very well written. If only the show had actually gone like this.

I don't usually like first person stories but this one seems to have become an exception since it is so well written. The fact that Joey asks the big question in this story makes it even more special.

I don't read any HP fiction anymore except for this lovely thing. I can't tell you how amazing Sage is. This story is like nothing else i've ever read, it's so intricate and her portrayl of Hermione is just so real. This is how the war should have been. The Fallout is by far the best D/Hr story out there.

Adamo Fidelitas by Pixiezombie (Abandoned)

[NC- 17 When Draco makes a potion to fix his love life, things go completly awry. Will he and Hermione kill each other? Or will they find a way to deal with uncontrollable lust, while hiding it from the school, significant others, and Deatheaters]

The most believable D/Hr story out there. While it's never going to be completed it's well worth the read. It has a particularly strong and realistic portray of Draco and Hermione.

Hermione Malfoy by Superscar (Abandoned)

[M At the Request of Dumbledore, Hermione Granger marries Draco Malfoy]

It's the only D/Hr comedy i've ever liked. I laughed. Quite a lot.

Lights Out and its sequel As Beautiful As Days Can Be by Kphoebe (One Shot)

[NC-17 "And that's why there they're this Tuesday night, he and Granger. They walk through the dark places of Hogwarts, after all the dormitory lights go out, and Howarts' students resign themselves to whatever waits in their dreams."

NC-17 "Of course you can" she shouts. "You have the choice!" Anger flashes into his own face. "I don't!" Draco shouts, and steps towards her, his body tense. "I don't have the luxury of your choices, Granger!"]

Two of the best one shots. The sex is amazing, the proposal amazing, the hope the two characters maintain... even more so.

[NC-17 Post Hogwarts: The War still rages on. Hermione learns that any port in a storm comes at a price]

Raw, broken, real... pir8fancier writes what you'd imagine war to be really like. The final few scenes are beautiful.

Beautiful Disaster by ashleyfanfic (WIP)

[NC-17 Veela Draco discovers his mate is the least likely person on the planet, and the discovery leads him and his father in new directions]

Veela Draco is such a great concept. I love it. And this is the best of them out there.

The Painted Past by Adelaide E (Abandoned)

[T Drace had always thought her bothersome. Like an annoyingly durable fundamentalist of The Church of Harry Potter. She couldn't leave well enough alone, couldn't imagine letting people be their flawed selves. Like Weasley for example]

Another one which doesn't look like it will ever be finished, but the 20 odd chapters are still worth a read. As much as i do love this, and find the plot very interesting it did annoy me to no end that i was never really sure of who Hermione would end up with... i definetly would have felt cheated if i read the whole story and then she ended up with Ron... maybe it's better that this won't be finished...

Reach Out by eyepennies (One Shot)

[M Ron was killed in the Second War, and his death has left Hermione emotionally incapacitated. A permanent resident at St Mungo's, she seems completly unreachable... until someone comes along who might have suffered more than her]

It's a lovely development and the end is quite something. Poor Draco.
